The steps to create a new custom parameter are the same in both Excel and Google Sheets.

You can add any parameter from the Quarterly or Annual Raw Data sheet by following these steps:

1. Select the row where you want to add the parameter in the Quarterly or Annual P&L sheet and write “=”.

2. Switch to the Quarterly or Annual Raw Data sheet, select your desired parameter (e.g., Operating Profit Qtr), and press Enter.

3. The selected parameter will now be added to the Quarterly-P&L sheet.

4. Place your cursor in the lower-right corner of the parameter cell until it turns into a plus sign (+).

5. Drag the “+” sign to fill the adjacent cells to the last column and leave the cursor.

6. Now, you can calculate a new custom parameter in the next row by entering formulas in the cells. For example, to calculate the Operating Profit Qtr change % in row 21, follow these steps:

- Enter the desired parameter name,  Operating Profit Qtr change %, in a new row
- Add the corresponding formula in row number 21.

((Current Operating Profit Qtr - Previous Operating Profit Qtr) / Previous Operating Profit Qtr) which corresponds to = (B20-C20)/abs(C20).

7. Place your cursor in the lower-right corner of the parameter cell until it turns into a plus sign (+). Drag the fill handle to the right to fill adjacent cells.
